The big changes are a few revised versions of the V-6 and V-8 engine options, which boost your capability depending on the setup you choose. There's also a new diesel engine option, which will be arriving a bit later in 2018. Performance, Capability & Drivetrain Options in the New 2018 Ford F-150

There are several engine options for the new 2018 F-150, and you'll also want to consider the 4WD that's available in certain powertrain and cab setups. Depending on your towing and hauling needs, we'll help you find the right engine and 4x4 setup - RWD is standard at lower levels - that makes the most sense for you.

The starting engine is the 3.3-liter V-6, earning 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. Next is a turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6, producing 325 horsepower. There's also a turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 that you can configure to produce either 370 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, or 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, which is the most powerful option. Finally, you'll have the option for the 5.0-liter V-8 that produces 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.
